Just two days after the release of “Good as Gold,” the latest episode of Stories From the Outlands which revealed the upcoming character Fuse, Respawn has announced that the Apex Legends Season 8 launch trailer will be debuting tomorrow.
The Apex Legends Season 8 Launch Trailer
“Walter ‘Fuse’ Fitzroy has arrived to join the Apex Games,” writes Respawn; “But not everyone back on Salvo is happy about it. See what goes down when he makes his grand entrance…”
The Apex Legends Season 8 launch trailer will be releasing online tomorrow, on the 21st of January at 08:00 AM PT (16:00 PM GMT). Season 8, entitled “Mayhem,” was officially announced with the release of “Good as Gold” earlier this week. The headline feature of the new season is, of course, the addition of Fuse to the Legends roster. However, there are several other major new additions or changes which Respawn have teased. Season 8 will bring a new weapon to the game, for example; the 30-30 Repeater.
Apex Legends Season 8 won’t include a new map – it’s still too soon after the launch of Olympus in Season 7, after all – but it will bring a major map redesign for Kings Canyon. This new “Obliterated Kings Canyon,” will presumably be replacing Kings Canyon in-game. (In much the same way as World’s Edge got its own volcanic makeover in Season 6, perhaps.) It sounds as though the Season 8 launch trailer will reveal what exactly is about to happen to Kings Canyon to result in this redesign. Perhaps Fuse’s rival from “Good as Gold” is planning to attack the Apex Games?
For now, fans will have to wait and see what happens. However, they won’t have to wait long. The Season 8 launch trailer will be debuting in just under 24 hours, and once that trailer launches, more concrete details about the new season are likely to be released by Respawn.
