Apex Legends fans are in for a treat tomorrow with the release of an all-new Stories From the Outlands video. Like previous Stories From the Outlands, this video will give fans a look at the backstory for one of the Legends in Apex Legends. Previous videos have focused on Wraith or Wattson, but this new video will be for Bloodhound.
Bloodhound Gets a “Stories From the Outlands” Video Tomorrow
The Bloodhound Stories From the Outlands video is due to premiere on YouTube at 6:00 PM BST (10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT) on the 2nd of April; i.e. tomorrow morning/afternoon. Entitled “The Old Ways,” it will reportedly give fans a look at Bloodhound’s early training. “Before they became legend, young Bloodhound faced a rite of passage,” writes Respawn; “Join them on the hunt and learn the harsh lessons of the Old Ways.”
Stories From the Outlands have always been used by Respawn to promote upcoming content releases or events. The studio released “A Father’s Letter,” “Forever Family,” and “Up Close and Personal,” prior to the launch of new seasons in order to give fans a look at the new Legends; Wattson, Crypto, and Forge (or actually Revenant, as it turned out), respectively. The sole Story which wasn’t released at the start of a season was “Voidwalker,” which featured Wraith’s backstory. That video was instead used to promote a new Wraith-themed Collection Event and its accompanying town takeover.
Given all of that, it seems likely that “The Old Ways” could be a harbinger of an upcoming Bloodhound-themed Collection Event. Perhaps a Bloodhound town takeover of the map is on the way too? Whatever the case, it’s less likely that Respawn are simply releasing a new video with no ulterior reasoning. For now, Apex Legends fans will have to wait and see what announcements emerge tomorrow, after the video’s release.
