Apex Legends Weekly Challenge Resets Have Been Changed

One of the key factors aimed at providing Apex Legends players with more to do in Season 2 are the new daily and weekly challenges. However, there has been some confusion when it comes to the latter; confusion which resulted in Respawn permanently changing when the challenges will reset. The studio has now better clarified the schedule so that players don’t get caught out by an unexpected reset.

When the Apex Legends Weekly Challenge Resets Occur

Daily and weekly challenges are a major part of Apex Legends Season 2. Following criticism from players that the first season required too much grinding to level up, these new challenges provide players with another means of levelling up the Battle Pass quickly. Indeed, some of the weekly challenges offer full Battle Pass level ups as rewards for completion. Unfortunately, it seems that the home screen of Apex Legends didn’t display correctly.

Apex Legends Weekly Challenge Reset Schedule 2

When it came time for the first set of weekly challenges to reset, many players discovered that they had seemingly reset 10 hours ahead of schedule. As a result, players who were hoping to complete challenges on the last day were unable to. It’s unclear what exactly the error was; whether the challenges reset too early or whether the in-game timer was incorrect, for instance. Whatever the case, Respawn decided to permanently change the weekly reset time.

“Heads up, Legends,” they Tweeted; “Weekly and Daily Challenges will reset tonight at 3am PST. This will be the reset schedule for Challenges for the rest of Season unless stated otherwise”. This means that players now know for sure that challenges will reset on Tuesdays each week at that new time. Hopefully, this prevents any further confusion arising in the future, especially given how important Weekly Challenges are to Respawn’s revised season model. The new reset schedule should continue for the entirety of Season 2, which is expected to end sometime in September.
