The remastered version of Assassin’s Creed 3 arrives later this month for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Along with technical and graphical improvements, Ubisoft has also refined Assassin’s Creed 3’s gameplay for the remaster. Such refinements include new gameplay functionality which allows players to take a more stealthy approach during the game.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Gameplay Refinements
As Ubisoft recently explained in its March update blog post, the AC3 Remaster is much more than a graphical upgrade. Naturally there will be improvements to the game’s graphics and UI, but that’s just the start of Ubisoft’s efforts.
In Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered, players can perform new stealth and assassination actions that weren’t available in the original release. Such actions include the following:
- Whistling from a concealed location to attract a distant guard’s attention
- Crouching and hiding in bushes and tall vegetation
- Performing double assassinations on two foes who are standing near each other
Ubisoft also added in some new rewards for AC3 Remaster players to work towards. By completing certain goals, players can unlock three additional Assassin’s Creed protagonist outfits:
- Bayek (Assassin’s Creed Origins)
- Alexios (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
- Aguilar (the Assassin’s Creed movie)
The Assassin’s Creed 3 Remaster is also still coming to the Nintendo Switch, just at a later date. Switch owners will get to strike from the shadows of Colonial America in May of this year. All other platforms, meanwhile, will get the remastered game on March 29.
The above blog post also includes some new updates on Ubisoft’s most current Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Later this month, Odyssey is getting a new ‘Lost Tales of Greece’ episode alongside new cosmetic packs. The game’s third and final Legacy of the First Blade episode, Bloodline, is also available now.
