Bandai Namco’s Go Vacation will soon be launching this month on July 27th for the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released back in 2011 on the Wii, and lets players explore four paradise resorts hosted on Kawawii Island. A variety of activities (over 50) on the resorts allow you to play with up to four friends, such as bungee-jumping, ice fishing, scuba diving, miniature golf and even sculpting your very own snowman. It sounds like it’ll make even your best holiday seem like child’s play.
Of course, now that it’s heading to the Nintendo Switch, we can expect some improvements and even new features. Go Vacation is said to have better visuals with new activities, but what we’re really curious about is the possibility of online multiplayer. Thankfully the Nintendo Switch’s eShop may actually have the answers for that.
If you boot up your Switch and find yourself falling face first into some classic indies, you may come across Go Vacation and the prompt to pre-order it. Resist that temptation for now, but dig in further and you’ll come across software details which is where you’ll find the good news. From the looks of it, not only will you be able to play co-op with 3 other friends, you’ll also be able to play the game online with others from around the world too.
This is fantastic news for those players out there who don’t feel like their friends would be willing to play this game with them. I struggle with the same thing, not having friends who are into the same genre/games as me and it can be a lonely experience. Now with online multiplayer, you’ll be able to play the game and connect with others at the same time. Which, in our humble opinion, sounds like a win/win to us.
