Battlefield 5’s War in the Pacific Chapter has been the largest post-launch content addition since the game released back in 2018, introducing new maps, new vehicles and weapons, and more besides. DICE has been relatively quiet about what is coming next, however, even though the next chapter is not far away. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait much longer. The studio has now confirmed that fans can expect details about what Chapter 6 will be bringing next week.
When Players Can Expect Details About Battlefield 5 Chapter 6
According to the latest Battlefield 5 Weekly Debrief, which was recently posted by DICE Community Manager Braddock512 on Reddit; “We’ll be sharing details on Chapter 6 next week, so keep an eye on official channels”. Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific, the fifth Chapter of Tides of War (the game’s series of post-launch seasons), has now been live for around three months. As such, the Chapter is now approaching its conclusion. However, DICE hasn’t even announced the name of the next Chapter, let alone what it will include.
DICE has previously confirmed that fans can expect at least another full year of Battlefield 5 content. After all, the studio will not be releasing another Battlefield game in that timeframe. However, fans are still in the dark regarding what that year of content will include. Hopefully, the new details coming next week give fans a sense of what to expect, not just in Chapter 6, but throughout the first half of 2020.
It’s unlikely (although not impossible), that Battlefield 5 Chapter 6 will be as large as War in the Pacific. More likely, its size will be closer to the earlier seasons which took place throughout 2019. Whatever the case, fans should expect new maps and at least some new weapons/vehicles. However, it’s currently unknown what part of the Second World War the game might now focus on. Now that the Pacific Theatre has had its day, its possible that DICE might head to the Eastern Front, although that could also be part of a larger expansion planned for a later chapter.
