Following the introduction of the first two Battlefield 5 Elite characters at the end of April, DICE has now added two more characters to the Elite roster. Alongside Wilhelm Franke, Hanna Delacroix is now available for players to purchase and use in-game. As one of the Battlefield 5 Elites, she comes with a signature weapon, unique voice lines, and a few other things.
Battlefield 5 Elites – Hanna Delacroix
Battlefield 5 Elites were first announced around two months ago, when DICE added Battlefield Currency to the game. Elites are one of the features which Currency can be spent on, and are unique characters whom players can play as in both multiplayer and Firestorm. The first two Elites, Seamus Byrne and Ernst Schubert, became available in the game on the 30th of April. Now, a new pair are available; Wilhelm Franke and Hanna Delacroix. Each Elite is playable on either the Allies or Axis side and features unique voice lines, cosmetic items, a Best Squad animation, and a Special Assignment. Completing this assignment will unlock the character’s signature melee weapon.
Hanna Delacroix is a French scout available to the Allies. Her signature melee weapon is the Poignard; a long thrusting dagger. This weapon was historically borne by Western European nobility from the Middle Ages through to the Renaissance. “Once Germany occupied France,” explains DICE; “Hanna reacted quickly to shepherd as many French as she could to safe territories. Her ability to scout German emplacements is unmatched. Now fighting alongside the UK army, Hanna is determined to free her homeland from the Axis powers.”
There aren’t any actual measurable advantages to using an Elite. For all intents and purposes, they’re just a more detailed cosmetic character skin. However, they do add more personality to the game’s otherwise fairly generic multiplayer characters. The Battlefield 5 Elites are available to buy in-game with Battlefield Currency.
