EA and DICE have revealed the official Battlefield 5 PC system requirements for the upcoming multiplayer title. In addition to the normal minimum and recommended requirements, however, the studio also includes a second set of recommended requirements. These are the specific requirements for utilising DXR.
The Official Minimum Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements
The minimum Battlefield 5 PC system requirements are nothing too taxing for a AAA game of this size. The game will take up 50 GB of hard drive space in total, but can be run with relatively standard components and software.
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
- Processor (AMD): AMD FX-8350
- Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Graphics Card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB
- Graphics Card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 560 / HD 7850 2GB
- DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
- Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster internet connection
- Hard-Drive Space: 50GB
The Official Recommended Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements
The recommended PC system requirements are, of course, much higher. However, players will of course be able to take advantage of the game’s better graphics options with these. However, the game can nonetheless run at even higher quality, if you can run it on specifications like those in the final list of requirements.
- OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
- Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
- Memory: 12GB RAM
- Graphics Card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- Graphics Card (AMD): AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
- DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent

- Hard-Drive Space: 50GB
The Official Recommended Battlefield 5 PC System Requirements for DXR
This second list of recommended PC system requirements should let players take advantage of the most impressive graphical settings, including ray tracing. If you want to see the new ray tracing technology which was built into the game, you’ll need to get yourself one of NVIDIA’s new line of RTX 2000 GPUs; unfortunately, these do not come cheap.

- Processor (AMD): AMD Ryzen 7 2700
