Battlefield 5 War Stories Releases Official Single Player Trailer

Over the weekend, Eric Holmes, Design Director for the Battlefield 5 War Stories campaign, said that fans could expect news, gameplay, and a trailer for the mode this week. Yesterday, it emerged that Mark Strong would be voicing the in-game narrator for War Stories. Now, DICE has released the Battlefield 5 War Stories trailer; fans’ first look at the upcoming title’s single-player story campaign.

The Battlefield 5 War Stories Trailer

The Battlefield 5 War Stories format follows that set by the War Stories campaign of Battlefield 1. Rather than telling one linear story, each of the missions tells a different story about events taking place somewhere in WWII. In the case of Battlefield 5, DICE is aiming to tell stories of lesser-known parts of the war; the resistance against German occupation in Scandinavia, Senegalese soldiers fighting for France in Europe, the war in Northern Africa, and the closing days of the war. There will be four War Stories in total, tied together by Mark Strong’s narration. The first three will release with Battlefield 5 in November, while the fourth will come one month later as a post-launch update. Interestingly, the final War Story, The Last Tiger, will be the first to be told from a German perspective.

New Battlefield 5 War Stories Trailer Released

Until now, fans of the game have seen almost nothing of the Battlefield 5 War Stories; only a few momentary glimpses of cut-scenes. Now, the official Battlefield 5 War Stories trailer gives an extended look at what players can expect; “In Nordlys,” says DICE; “resist German occupation in Norway, sabotage behind enemy lines as an unlikely soldier in Under No Flag, fight for a home you’ve never seen in Tirailleur, and in The Last Tiger (available in December) join the crew of a Tiger I as they question why they fight. Battlefield 5 is out worldwide November 20.”

While the game is set to release on the 20th of November, there are several ways to gain early access. Subscribers to the Origin Access Premier service can play the game early. Similarly, subscribers to EA Access and Origin Access can also get early access.
