One thing that we didn’t have the chance to get a glimpse of at EA PLAY is Battlefield V Grand Operations. Fortunately, the first gameplay video of the mode has been uploaded to Youtube by Nvidia followed by another community video detailing a basic operation.
What you can basically see in the Battlefield V Grand Operations video by Nvidia is every feature and mechanic implemented into the multiplayer of the game in just two minutes, featured in Grand Operations. Stationery weapon using, building and rocket launching are only a few of the features we saw in it.
A while later, Youtuber Jackfrags posted a related video on his channel, not only showing actual Grand Operations gameplay but also commentate on a basic GO match. Here’s the video:
As Jackfrags details, a basic Battlefield V Grand Operations will start with 64 players in two teams fighting along several days to achieve a final goal. The map showed is called Narvik and the first day on the map will be night as you fall from the air onto the battlefield.
From there you will have to complete the objectives and push onward to the second day, where the objectives are different and the playstyle have to be adjusted as well.
Teamwork will play a huge role in Battlefield V Grand Operations as jumping into the fire to save a fallen squad member may turn the tide for the whole Operation day. You’ll have to use your heals and revives effectively to make sure that both you and your squad members will survive the day.
The aforementioned Battlefield V Grand Operations map is not finished and is based on a pre-alpha build. As jackfrags reveals, Narvik is now played through 2 days while at launch there will be at least four. We’re waiting more news on Grand Operations to be revealed soon. Stay tuned.
