Battlefield V is releasing on October 19, bringing a ton of new content to the franchise and a big graphic upscale. That means the game comes with a big file size but you shouldn’t be too worried about it because the Battlefield V preload date has been revealed.
As announced by DICE and later reported, the Battlefield V preload date for both the standard and the deluxe versions are set for October 12th. This means that you have a whole week to download the game if you buy the standard edition and four days for the deluxe. All deluxe edition buyers will be able to play Battlefield V three days before it actually releases, and enjoy more loot and bonuses, especially if you choose to pre-order it.
How big is the download file though? Even if it was a huge file, a whole week is more than enough for you to download and have the game ready for its release. DICE revealed that Battlefield V’s file size will be somewhere around 60GB, which might look like much but given the nature of its content, its a legit file size for a game of its caliber.
You still have time before you decide whether or not to buy Battlefield V but at least you know have all the information you need to prepare for its upcoming release. The next time we’ll find out more about the game will be at EA Play on June 9, where we’ll get to see more of its campaign and multiplayer.
TL;DR the Battlefield V preload date is set to October 12th, a week before release for standard edition owners and 4 days before for deluxe edition ones. Keep in mind that the file size for the upcoming Battlefield title is somewhere around 60GB.
