Battlefield V is coming this year, and it’s going to change up the series as we know it. It looks like an excellent riff on the rest of the franchise so far, with plenty of wars to enjoy both solo and multiplayer modes. The annual season pass has been taken away, and Operations mode returns with new War Stories single-player options.
It’s going to be a hot seller this year, so if you want to jump online and play with your friends, it’s a good idea to go ahead and lock in your copy now. But which version should you spend your hard-earned cash on? We’ve got you covered with what comes in the vtwo variants of the game that are out this year. Both release on October 16, which should give you plenty of time to decide which one you want.
Battlefield V Preorder Bonus Guide: Standard Edition
Opting for the Standard Edition will ensure you get into the game’s open beta, but that’s not all. You’ll also get five weapons for Battlefield 1 that you can use right now, and the Paratrooper outfit, which means you get to choose one of eight Special Soldier sets you can use to customize your troops. You get a set of Special Assignments to play through, and a few other digital goodies. Unfortunately, you will not get early access to the game, if that’s what you’re hoping to get.
Battlefield V Preorder Bonus Guide: Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition is $80, and comes with everything the Standard Edtion does as well, in addition to some other bonuses. For one, you get to play the game three days early with an early access pass, which gets you into the game ahead of everyone else. Unlike the Standard Edition, you also get five different sets of Paratrooper Outfits, additional Special Assignments, and 20 Weekly Items with Airlifts, each containing one customization item. This is the pack you want to go with if all you’re interested in is getting early access, that’s for sure.
There aren’t any physical bonuses available for either version right now, but that could very well change in the future. We’ll keep you updated if any retailers begin offering such additions in the future.
