The next story expansion for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, the first since the release of a major rebuild of the game, is due for release soon. However, prior to the release of the Isle of Madness expansion, Sparkypants Studios has announced a new promotional card collection; the Frostfall Collection.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends’ Frostfall Collection
The Frostfall Collection will be available in-game for either 1,500 Gold or $9.99. The collection includes playsets of “11 unique cards”. These cards will be available in The Elder Scrolls: Legends soon, although Bethesda did not specify an exact release date. All of the cards in the Frostfall Collection are new and unique; “These featured cards augment a wide variety of deck archetypes that’s sure to appeal to all kinds of players,” says Sparkypants Studios; “Are you a fan of Orcs? There’s a new recruit you may enjoy. A control player hoping to draw a handful of cards late in the game? We’ve got you covered.”

According to Sparkypants Studios, the theme of the Frostfall Collection is “interesting and unusual game interactions”. It’s unclear exactly what this means, but the studio did reveal one of the upcoming 11 cards as an example. Piercing Twilight is a 4/4 Daedra card with the Guard ability. When you summon the card, you can choose any card in your opponent’s discard pile. All cards from the opponent’s discard pile and deck with the same name are banished.
Although the exact release date is still unknown, the Frostfall Collection will come to The Elder Scrolls: Legends prior to the release of Isle of Madness. That story expansion, which was announced during QuakeCon 2018, also has no announced release date as of yet. The Isle of Madness will be a major story expansion for the Elder Scrolls card game; it will be themed around the Daedric Prince Sheogorath and his realm of the Shivering Isles.
