Since the start of the Fallout 76 BETA in late October, Bethesda has released two major updates for Fallout 76; one during the BETA, and one on launch day. Together, the two updates exceed the size of the game itself. However, it seems that Bethesda has more patches and updates planned in the near future. In their latest written Fallout 76 update, published online, Bethesda focuses on updates rather than post-launch content.
The Latest Fallout 76 Update From Bethesda
“Since Vault 76 opened to the world in B.E.T.A. and official launch, we’ve loved reading about your adventures and seeing your incredible photos from all over Appalachia,” says Bethesda; “With launch day behind us, we’re now looking toward the immediate future for Fallout 76 and what that means for both the short and long term.”
Firstly, Bethesda announces another Fallout 76 patch, which will launch on the 19th of November. According to the studio, the update includes fixes and optimisations for game performance. Although it won’t include several key things requested by fans, those things will come nonetheless; “We know some of your biggest requests,” explains Bethesda; “including an increased Stash Limit and several PC Quality of Life adjustments, are not included in this update. These features are coming in the next several weeks.”
At the end of the Fallout 76 update, Bethesda turns briefly to post-launch content. Here, the studio offers mostly the same teases that were in the open letter released two days ago, such as “faction-based PvP“; it seems that fans will need to wait a while longer before hearing anything substantial about post-launch content.
Fixes Confirmed in the New Fallout 76 Update
In addition to the new patch coming on the 19th of November, Bethesda confirms several new features coming before the end of 2018. The Stash Limit increase will come in a few weeks, and a Push to Talk feature will be coming to PC. The Fallout 76 PC version will also get Ultrawide Support for 21:9, and an FOV slider option.
