While the multiplayer beta for the upcoming Call of Duty title is underway, Treyrach and Activision have revealed that the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta also has a start date, set on September 10th.
The news comes from the official Call of Duty Twitter account where Treyarch and Activision have announced the start of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta. The new battle royale mode will let you play solo, duo and in a squad during the beta, however no further information have been provided yet.
The Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta will start on September 10th for Playstation 4 exclusively for those that have pre-ordered the game. After that PC and Xbox One will get their own turn, possibly after a week of playtesting on Sony’s console, if Activision uses the same pattern as with the multiplayer one.
Note that there might be some minor issues by the start of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta due to the fact that this is the first time we’ll see such a big number of players competing in a single map. While the mode has already been tested internally, we should expect the worst outcome so that we won’t be disappointed in the end.
As it happens with the multiplayer beta right now, Treyarch will be revealing which segments of Blackout will be getting readjusted during the Beta and what kind of changes and rebalances will be taking place after its end.
The size of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout map hasn’t been revealed yet but there’s rumors indicating that it will be including 60 players in total under a map the size of Fortnite’s. Some of Black Ops’ most iconic maps like Nuketown and Turbine will be added as locations to Blackout’s huge map, with aerial, ground and water vehicles being available for getting around easy.
