Perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly, PUBG’s Xbox One live servers are experiencing some issues at the moment, though Bluehole is currently on the case, as the developer has announced it is aware of the problems floating around. The issues arose after this week’s big May update, which brought the Miramar desert map into rotation for console players, as well as a myriad of performance improvements. If you’ve been experiencing problems while trying to hop online and play on Xbox One, this should explain the situation. No, it’s not the anti-Miramar squad trying to get you to not play on the desert map.
The update also added a “predictive-based loading system,” according to Bluehole, which is meant to help improve the syatem’s overall performance in terms of map loading and optimization in general. The development team is working to change the loading process’s priority, which will in turn help loading issues that occur when players are choosing the best area to land in at the start of the game.
These issues have been identified by Bluehole and are currently being worked on or have already been resolved by the team:
– Some players are unable to ready up after completing a match when in a team
– Some leaderboards are displaying “No data”
– Gamehub stats are not updating
– Excessive queue times for EU/OC Matchmaking
– All players being set to the NA region by default (Resolved.)
PUBG is available right now on both PC and Xbox One, though the PC version is still leaps and bounds ahead of the Xbox One edition, which just got the Miramar map just this month as a permanent addition. Hopefully things will start being smooth sailing again once all these issues get ironed out. Console players have enough to deal with when it comes to playing catchup to PC users as it is, so a smooth experience is definitely something they deserve!
