Following the launch of Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot back in December, Gearbox will be releasing the second Borderlands 3 DLC – Guns, Love & Tentacles – on the 26th of March. While the studio has only just revealed the first trailer for that DLC, Gearbox has also given fans a teaser of what’s come to in the third DLC. As it turns out, it’s dinosaur-riding outlaws…
Teasers for the Third Borderlands 3 DLC
Following the recent release of the trailer for Guns, Love, and Tentacles, the upcoming second Borderlands 3 DLC, Gearbox also unveiled their Spring content roadmap. Given that there are two more DLC releases still to come after Guns, Love, and Tentacles, it’s likely that this roadmap spans the months leading up to the third DLC’s release. In April, Gearbox plans to release both the Mayhem 2.0 update, along with an event called Revenge of the Cartels. After that, a new Eridium-themed Takedown will launch in May.
Assuming that there will be a similar length of time between Guns, Love, and Tentacles and the third DLC as there was between the first and second, a June release date is certainly plausible. Of course, Gearbox is unlikely to reveal any major details until closer to that date; perhaps late May, though probably no earlier. However, to whet players’ appetites for what’s to come, Gearbox has nonetheless released a single piece of concept art taken from the third Borderlands 3 DLC, pictured above.
“We can’t share too much about it yet,” writes Gearbox; “but the above concept art should give you a taste of what’s in store for Borderlands 3’s third campaign add-on coming this summer. We’ve got three words for you: outlaws and dinosaurs”. The studio didn’t share any further details on when fans might be able to learn more. Needless to say, it will probably be a few months before more details emerge.
