The Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration is now into its second half, and as the event continues, a new mini-event is now live in-game; Mayhem Made Mild. This is the fifth of six planned mini-events which span the Anniversary Celebration, leading up to the release of the fourth story DLC.
The Borderlands 3 Mayhem Made Mild Event
Gearbox recently released a small hotfix for Borderlands 3 which served to end last week’s ‘Show Me the Eridium’ event and begin ‘Mayhem Made Mild’. Like previous Borderlands 3 mini-events, the in-game impact of this event is relatively small. As the name implies, the event focuses on the game’s Mayhem Mode; altering the modifiers which apply while this mode is active. For the next week, so long as Mayhem Made Mild is live, only the ‘Easy’ Mayhem mode modifiers will be active. However, they will be active irrespective of the current Mayhem level.
The Borderlands 3 Mayhem Made Mild mini-event will be live until the 3rd of September, at 9:00 AM PDT. At that point, Gearbox will be rolling out another hotfix to enable the sixth mini-event; Making It Rain. Like a previous mini-event of the same name, it is likely to boost the amount of cash players will earn from loot. Making it Rain will be the sixth – and last – mini-event of the Anniversary event.
The Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration is due to end on the 10th of September; the same day that Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC will be launching. The fourth (and likely final) Borderlands 3 story DLC was formally announced just a few days ago. It is the last of the four DLCs that comprise the game’s Season Pass. It’s currently unknown whether any further DLC releases will follow after the 10th of September. However, with the upcoming release of Gearbox’s ‘Godfall,’ it’s likely that major content releases for Borderlands 3 will cease.
