With just two weeks now remaining before the release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox has released their official Borderlands 3 PC Specs. As per usual for a PC title, the studio has released both minimum and recommended specifications. In addition, the studio also includes details of recommended graphics settings for the upcoming game.
The Borderlands 3 PC Specs: Minimum and Recommended
First up are the minimum Borderlands 3 PC specs, detailing what exactly PC gamers ought to have if they want to run the game without major issues. Of course, you can’t expect to be able to play with highest graphics settings this way, but you should avoid stuttering and framerate drops. Indeed, Gearbox claims that; “No matter which platform you use to play Borderlands 3, all the on-screen mayhem is going to look fantastic, with plenty of carnage and flashy Action Skills fighting for your attention during the heat of battle.”
Borderlands 3 Minimum PC Specs:
- Operating System; Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- Processor; AMD FX-8350 (Intel i5-3570)
- Memory; 6 GB RAM
- Graphics Card; AMD Radeon HD 7970 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB)
- HDD; 75 GB
A key takeaway from the end of the specs is that Borderlands 3 will be a 75 GB file. Next up are the “recommended” Borderlands 3 PC specs. While these are, of course, significantly higher than the minimum specs, they’re not so high that the majority of PC gamers won’t be able to meet them. Indeed, there’s no mention of ray tracing or RTX graphics cards here. Of course, it will be possible to play the game with even higher specs, and take advantage of the best quality graphics.
Borderlands 3 Recommended PC Specs
- Operating System; Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- Processor; AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (Intel i7-4770)
- Memory; 16 GB RAM
- Graphics Card; AMD Radeon RX 590 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)
