Following the conclusion of Gearbox’s five-week Borderlands 3 anniversary celebration event, the studio will be launching the game’s final story DLC tomorrow, on the 10th of September. Psycho Krieg and the Fanastic Fustercluck will be the fourth Borderlands 3 DLC, bringing its year-long season pass to an end.
Borderlands 3 DLC: Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck
The upcoming Borderlands 3 Psycho Krieg DLC will be officially launching tomorrow, on the 10th of September. Where previous story DLCs have introduced whole new planets, this expansion is taking players to a far more crazy and unpredictable place; the inside of Krieg’s mind. Indeed, the DLC takes place entirely within the consciousness of the Borderlands 2 Psycho Vault Hunter, who has until now not made an appearance in Borderlands 3.
Gearbox hasn’t released many details about Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck ahead of the release. However, the trailer does offer fans a glimpse at some of the bizarre vistas which they’ll be exploring. It also drops a few hints as to the actual story of the DLC. Psycho Krieg is expected to be the last major Borderlands 3 DLC; after all, it’s the final of four DLCs included in the game’s Season Pass. With Gearbox just a few months away from launching Godfall, they are likely to pivot their focus towards that new title. However, that’s not to say that Borderlands fans won’t have anything to look forward to.
Gearbox did announce today that; “there’s still plenty more mayhem on the way”. According to the studio, they will be streaming a ‘Gearbox PAX Digital Showcase’ on the 12th of September, as part of PAX Online. This stream will be available to watch on the Gearbox Twitch and YouTube channels. It, along with co-streams by members of the Borderlands Creator Team, will be starting at 12:45 PM PT. It’s currently unknown what Borderlands 3 content Gearbox might still have planned.
