The Borderlands 3 soundtrack is the largest in the history of the franchise, featuring the music of four different composers. Now, almost two months after the game’s release, that soundtrack is now available to listen to or buy on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. The release was announced earlier today by Gearbox on social media.
The Borderlands 3 Soundtrack: Where to Listen
You can find the Borderlands 3 soundtrack on any of the four available music platforms by clicking here. Altogether, the soundtrack is enormous; it features 86 different tracks, totalling 5 hours and 39 minutes of music! This massive soundtrack was composed by several different composers, each of whom was tasked with scoring a different part of the game. The first of these is Jesper Kyd, the award-winning composer behind games like Hitman, Warhammer: Vermintide, and Darksiders 2, who composed much of the music that features on Eden-6.
The game’s second composer, Michael McCann, has written music for the Deus Ex, XCOM, and Splinter Cell franchises, among others. He principally worked on the music for the metropolis of Promethea. Finally, the third and fourth composers are Brian Trifon and Brian Lee White, the two members of Finishing Move Inc. Working as a duo, Finishing Move has worked on Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, and Halo 2: Anniversary. In fact, you can check out our interview with Finishing Move about the Borderlands 3 soundtrack here.
The Borderlands 3 soundtrack is now available to buy on iTunes for £34.99. Or, you can simply listen to it on Spotify and other music platforms. Additionally, a vinyl version of the soundtrack is expected to be announced soon. This isn’t available just yet. However, rumours suggest that its release date will be in January of 2020. While details of the vinyl score are currently somewhat hazy, it’s likely that there will be two separate versions. While they will vary in size, both will feature a smaller selection of tracks than the full 86-track soundtrack.
