Tomorrow, PC gamers will finally be able to get Borderlands 3 on Steam, as the game’s 6-month exclusivity period on the Epic Games Store comes to an end. Now, as an added incentive for Steam users, Valve has launched a new “2K Publisher Sale“. While this sale affects many of 2K’s different games, the most notable aspect is that the sale offers a massive 50% discount on Borderlands 3.
The Borderlands 3 Steam Launch Sale
Borderlands 3 will be launching on Steam at 7:00 AM PST tomorrow, on the 13th of March. Presumably to take advantage of the increased interest around the game, Steam’s 2K publisher sale is now live and will overlap with the release, coming to an end on the 20th of March. During that time, a whole host of games are available at discount prices. Of course, it’s surprising simply to see Borderlands 3 included, given that it’s newly releasing on the platform. However, the fact that Steam is offering a full 50% off the game is almost unheard of.
This 50% sale discount is available for all versions of the game too; both the Digital Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition. In fact, Steam is also offering a colossal “Borderlands Bundle,” which includes the entire franchise. Adding up all the various discounts available on this list of games and DLCs, purchasers can get 81% off. As such, the bundle’s £256.96 price tag drops all the way down to just £48.87.
When Borderlands 3 launches on Steam, the game will support seamless PC crossplay with the Epic Games Store version of the game. As such, gamers on both platforms will be able to play together, providing they have the feature enabled. If you’re looking to pick up any other 2K games this week, now is certainly the time, as there are some significant discounts available in the sale. XCOM 2 is available for 80% off, for example, while Civilisation VI is 71% off. All major Bioshock games are also 75% off, with discounts on all the DLC as well.
