To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of Borderlands 3, Weta Workshop has unveiled two new Borderlands collectibles which will soon be coming to their existing range. These two new Mini Epics, one for Mr. Torgue and one for Lilith, are now available to preview on the Weta Workshop website.
Weta Workshop’s New Borderlands Collectibles
Since their partnership with Gearbox following the launch of Borderlands 3, Weta Workshop has produced eight different Borderlands figures, along with two collectible pin sets. These include four high-quality (and high-cost) ‘Figures of Fandom’ and four so-called Mini Epics, Weta’s range of more affordable vinyl figures. Fans can get extremely detailed statues of the four playable Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters for £119.99 each. The Mini Epics, on the other hand, only cost $29.99 each.
Thus far, Weta Workshop has released Mini Epic figures for Maya, Zer0, Tiny Tina, and a Psycho Bandit. However, they will soon be adding Lilith and Mr. Torgue to this range. These two new figures are available to preview on the Weta Workshop but aren’t yet available to pre-order. (Though you can sign up for an email notification once they do become available.) Presumably, they will also cost $29.99, which appears to be the default Mini Epic price.
It’s currently unknown whether Weta or Gearbox have plans for more collaborations in the future. After all, these are the first new Borderlands figures to come from Weta since their initial range launched earlier this year. The fourth and final Borderlands 3 DLC is due to release soon (a full reveal is coming next week), which could signal that active development on the game will start to wind down. After all, Gearbox are getting ready to launch Godfall, their big next-gen action RPG which is coming later this year. For now, fans will have to wait and see what the future holds.
