Throughout the course of the last month, Gearbox has been running a consistent stream of week-long mini-events in Borderlands 3. The latest two are due to end tomorrow morning. However, Gearbox won’t simply be launching another two in their place. Instead, the studio has announced ‘Loot the Universe‘; a four-week galactic tour of Borderlands 3 mini-events which will begin tomorrow, on the 23rd of April.
Loot the Universe: Four Weeks of Borderlands 3 Mini-Events
Alongside tomorrow’s launch of Mayhem Mode 2.0 and Revenge of the Cartels, Gearbox will be launching Loot the Universe. While this four-week-long event is active, each week will offer players better loot on one specific planet. These boosts will be more general than what has been offered in mini-events during the last month. However, it’s worth noting that players will have Revenge of the Cartels to focus on as well.
More specifically, Loot the Universe will increase the chances of Legendary loot dropping on one specific planet each week. Specific types of Legendary loot will also be more likely to drop in each of the affected planet’s zones. For instance, one week players might be more likely to find Legendary Pistols dropping in loot in Promethea’s Atlas HQ while the Meridian Complex offers more likely odds of Legendary Class Mods dropping. According to Gearbox, it will be up to players to discover which areas are more likely to drop which type of loot.
Week 1 of Loot the Universe begins tomorrow, at 9:00 AM PT on the 23rd of April, and will boost loot on Pandora. Each week will end at 8:59 AM PT seven days later, with the next week starting immediately after. Week 2 will feature improved loot drops on Promethea. Week 3 will boost loot on Eden-6, and finally, Week 4 will improve the loot drops on Nekrotafeyo. That final week will come to an end at 8:59 AM PT on the 21st of May.
