It’s an understatement to say the least that many gamers are unhappy with the state of the WWE 2K20 game upon its release this past week. Numerous problems with the graphics, gameplay, and other parts of the game led to members of the community voicing their frustrations. It led to some gamers asking for and getting refunds for their purchases, and even brought WWE Hall of Famer Edge into the conversation regarding unsigned plaques that arrived with certain editions. Now, 2K has responded to the broken WWE 2K20 game and reported issues to let fans know there will be a patch coming.
2K gives update on patch to fix broken WWE 2K20
As mentioned, fans have complained of a broken WWE 2K20 since its release date this past Tuesday. A number of videos popped up showing various WWE 2K20 glitches and strange bugs in the game. An example appears in this video in which a women’s singles match seems to involve a ghost participant. Objects move without any superstar touching them.

That’s just one example of the bugs. Other gamers are complaining about Creation Suite messing up superstar looks. Others are annoyed by badly missed moves such as punches, kicks, or other attacks. All of the issues are frustrating many gamers after they spent $60 to $130 USD to buy the new game.
On Friday (Oct. 25), the @WWEgames Twitter gave members of the community some assurance that they were working to resolve many of the problems fans reported. Based on their tweet, the first patch to address the various issues with the broken WWE 2K20 game will arrive within two weeks from now. That’s mid-November making it just in time for the Black Friday shopping season.
The interesting aspect of this is that the WWE 2K20 Originals Bump in the Night content arrives on Monday (Oct. 28) for anyone who has the pre-order editions that include it as a bonus. It should be interesting to see if there are further issues when this new content arrives for the game.
It’s also going to be interesting to see how much this patch fixes, what it misses, and what new frustrations it brings. The 2K community is hoping that it makes the game a whole lot better than it was on release day.
