Still pining over PUBG but haven’t been able to make yourself spend its asking price of $29.99? Don’t assume you’ll never get a chance to play it. Just grab this special sale that’s going on right now, courtesy of electronics retailer Newegg. You won’t get instant gratification or anything like that, but you’ll be able to pick up PUBG for Xbox One on Newegg right now for just $20, which is $10 or a decent 33% off the normal price. You’d probably spend more on dinner out at McDonald’s tonight or a new top this weekend, so you may as well invest that money in something you’re going to spend a lot of time with, right?
Just head over to Newegg and add that bad boy to your cart, then when you’re checking out, enter the code EMCPTRV56. This will add your $10 discount and get you your game for a slick discount. You could pay more to have the game shipped to you quicker, but then that might eat up the $10 you just got off the game.
If you haven’t jumped on the PUBG bandwagon or have no idea why you should, keep in mind that it’s the decidedly less colorful cousin of the flamboyant Fortnite, which is a free-to-play title with the Battle Royale name on it as well. PUBG finds you parachuting into a match with 100 other players as you loot the map’s various locations and annihilate all others until there’s only one of you left. When you win, you’re rewarded with a delicious, hot, steaming chicken dinner. You’re not, really, but you get a screen that says so.
Keep in mind, however, before you purchase that right now the game is still invariably part of the Early Access period on Xbox One, and it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the PC version. It also recently experienced some issues when introducing the desert map Miramar that was up for testing. If that doesn’t bother you at all, then by all means go ahead and spend that cash, and burn that hole in your pocket. See you in-game!
