Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta on Xbox One and PC Announced
Get ready for some major Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta testing. The timetables for the Xbox One and PC betas have also been announced by Activision and will start just 4 days after its initial start on Playstation 4.
As we already knew, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta on Playstation 4 starts on September 10th and will roll until September 17th for everyone who have pre-ordered the game. Here are the full start and ending times on all platforms:
- PS4 Starts : Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. EDT Ends: Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EDT
- Xbox One Starts : Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. EDT Ends Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EDT
- PC [Open Beta] Starts : Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. EDT Ends Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EDT
For Xbox, the Blackout Beta starts 4 days after Playstation 4, on September 14th and ends 3 days later. That’s a short time for players to be testing the mode thoroughly but at least we’ll get a first look of it before it finally releases.
The interesting part of the Blackout Beta though is its period on PC. All players who have pre-ordered the game can jump right in on September 14th, beginning at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. The next day though, all players who want to try out the mode and have a Battle.net account can also join, for just two days though. Pre-loading isn’t available on Battle.net so we don’t know yet how much time you’ll get for downloading the files before the start of the testing times.
This raises questions. Can the servers for Blackout on PC manage the massive number of free players trying the game during its two days of testing? Activision and Treyarch will most likely want to crush test the servers and expect “the worst” so that they can prepared for its release in October.
