Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is now live in select regions, and thus new information is slowly trickling out. One tidbit of note is the identity of the first Black Ops Pass-exclusive Blackout character. It seems those who purchase the Black Ops Pass can play as the enigmatic Shadow Man from Black Ops 3.
Black Ops 4 First Season Pass Blackout Character
The Shadow Man’s inclusion in Blackout was confirmed via this Black Ops 4 subreddit post. In Black Ops 3, the Shadow Man appeared in the periphery of each Zombies map, tying them together. For the most part, he functioned as a sort of unknown x-factor before ultimately revealing himself as a villain. Given the Shadow Man’s prominence in the Black Ops saga, his appearance in Blackout isn’t terribly surprising.
As we previously reported, the Black Ops Pass grants access to four exclusive Blackout characters in total. The Shadow Man is available for immediate use as soon as you purchase the pass. The other three Blackout characters will be unlocked at a later date. Even without the Black Ops Pass, Blackout features a large roster of iconic Black Ops characters. Players can also utilize customizable generic avatars in Blackout if none of the more established characters appeal to them.
Aside from the four Blackout characters, the Black Ops Pass grants access to a whole litany of bonus content. There’s an extra launch-day Zombies map, four post-launch zombies maps, and 12 post-launch multiplayer maps. For now, the Black Ops Pass is included in select editions of Black Ops 4. The pass will also be offered as a standalone $49.99 purchase at a later date.
