Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Minimum and Recommended PC Specs

Treyarch and Activision have announced the official minimum and recommended PC specs for Call of Duty Black Ops 4. The announcement comes not a moment too soon since Black Ops 4 is due to launch later this week.

The minimum and recommended PC specs were revealed via this post on the Black Ops 4 subreddit. Treyarch even went one step further by revealing optimal specs for high refresh rate and ultra 4K setups.

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 7 or higher (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 660 2GB / GeForce GTX 1050 2GB or Radeon HD 7950 2GB

Recommended

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel i5-2500K / Ryzen R5 1600X
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1060 is 6GB or Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580

High Refresh Rate

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Intel i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 1800X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX Vega⁶⁴ Graphics

Ultra

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • CPU: i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 2700X
  • RAM: 16GB

The Reddit post also reiterated that pre-loading for Black Ops 4 on PC has begun. The pre-load file size is 55GB, which is noticeably smaller than reported console download sizes.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will launch later this week on Friday, October 12. On PC, the game is exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net platform (Blizzard is owned by Activision). Black Ops 4 will be the second non-Blizzard game featured on Battle.net after Bungie’s Destiny 2.
