While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may have released, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is still active, and Treyarch are still bringing new content to the game. In fact, the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update has brought a swathe of new content which the developers hope will cater for long-term players and keep the game “fresh”. This includes a permanent Nuketown playlist, the Zombies Gauntlet, and tons of new rewards.
What’s in the Latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Update
First up in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update is a new playlist just for Nuketown. This means that players can play on the iconic map all day, every day, without having to wait for it to show up in other playlists. While it isn’t active yet, Treyarch have said that they will soon be adding “weekly 2XP” to their Featured Playlists. This means that players will rank up twice as fast as normal while playing on those playlists. 2XP Featured Playlists will be available for various game modes throughout the next year, changing every Tuesday.
When it comes to weapons, the new update buffs the damage and burst fire speed of the Echohawk Dual Bore. It also buffs the AN-94’s damage, although it does slightly nerf Reaper’s Scythe. The damage remains the same, but its duration has been reduced by 25% and its ammo has been cut from 150 to 100. In the realm of Blackout, Treyarch is adding LTM Moshpits; a rotating playlist which will feature four limited-time modes per week. The first modes featured this week, for example, will be Ambush, Down But Not Out, Ground War, and Heavy Metal Heroes.
“Today brings a long list of updates to Zombies,” adds Treyarch; “with plenty of gameplay improvements and bug fixes across multiple maps, weapon tuning, Elixir adjustments, Perk fixes, and more”. The update also adds a new Zombies Gauntlet on PS$ for An Ice Day in Hell. Finally, the update adds more than 280 new rewards to the Black Market which will fill its stock for the next few months. These include new weapons, camos, outfits, jump packs, etc. The new rewards will become available on the 12th of November, alongside a revamp of the Black Market itself.
