Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Preorder Bonus Guide

Looking to lock in your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4? You’d do well to make sure you have your game spoken for, because when it releases later this year in October, it’s going to be hard to get one on launch day if you didn’t already put some cash down. You also get a variety of different bonuses for making the choice to reserve a copy early. If you’re thinking about buying ahead for the Call of Duty 2018 release, here’s what you need to know about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 pre-order bonuses out there.

Unfortunately, there are currently no real incentives to preorder the game at one retailer over another, beyond GameStop’s Call of Duty drawstring bag, or Amazon’s Prime discount, which nets you a $12 discount. That’s still worth it, however, if you don’t want digital items or a bag from GameStop that’ll disintegrate in a few days after heavy use.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Preorder Guide: Standard Edition

You can preorder the Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 right now from any retailer that sells games, and doing so will net you access to the Black Ops 4 Private Beta. This is the most important part of preordering for most fans, especially since it means you get to get in and try the game ahead of others. So if you don’t want to spend more money on it than you have to but still want a chance to play ahead of its release, opt for the Standard Edition. If you preorder at GameStop, further, you’ll go home with a special black drawstring backpack that you can use in the real world. Just make sure not to take it out to rob any banks, or you’ll get busted.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Preorder Guide: Specialist Edition

If you want something a little more prestigious than the Standard Edition, you can opt for the Specialist Edition, which gets you a bonus 1,100 Call of Duty Points as well as bonus digital items. Unfortunately, the bonus digital items have yet to be announced just yet, so we won’t know what to expect from those at this point. Only certain retailers will be selling this particular edition, so you’ll have to make sure the store you shop at it is carrying the Specialist Edition.

That’s all we know about either version at the moment, so we’ll keep you updated as additional details eke out.
