As we said yesterday, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta has been confirmed and it will be available for all pre-order buyers. The latest leak from a German retailer suggests that the Private Beta for Black Ops 4 will take place in August on all platforms including the PC version of the game through Blizzard’s Battle.net.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta leak comes from german Gamestop, where a full description of the beta was revealed, including the previously stated minimum duration of it. Here’s the leak:
”Anticipated launch of Private Beta is in August. The BETA access codes will be sent shortly before the beta starts. Minimum duration of the beta: 3 days. Internet connection required. Also in August, the Open Beta for the PC version takes place! For the PC version, no codes are sent because no code is needed for playing.”
What’s interesting is that PC players won’t require a code to try out the game through the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta. This means we’ll have an open beta for the game on PC, which will be available through Battle.net.
What we don’t know yet is what the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta will actually include. Most importantly, will Blackout be included to try out? We expect Activision to want to carry out a beta phase for the upcoming battle royale title too, as it is more resource demanding than its multiplayer mode. With its maximum number of players being possibly around 140, a bit of insight as to how the mode is holding up will be important for its stability before the game finally releases.
As with any leak, you should take this one too with a grain of salt as nothing is yet confirmed by Activision. As the time for the private beta draws near, more information will be provided. Until then, sit tight and check in for more news on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
