After the announcement that a new Morocco map will be coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Treyarch has revealed another map. This time it’s a remastered version of the fan favorite Summit map from Black Ops. Brand new graphics and features will be present as expected.
The announcement has been made through Twitter by Treyarch and fans are already having mixed thoughts about this one.

Everyone is happy to see a loved map coming back to Black Ops. However, fans are concerned about it at the same time.
Why is Treyarch bringing all those maps back instead of making brand new ones? We believe that it’s to soon to answer this question, since the developers have a robust roadmap for post-launch content.
As its Wiki correctfully describes, Summit is a narrow map with severe drops on all sides. It features snowy terrain and plenty of variety when it comes to buildings and platforms. The interior of one large building in the middle is the most open area on the Summit map, with most of it made up of narrow gaps and pathways. It is a map with lots of small spaces for the player to hide in. Spawn trapping is very easy if the other team has the A flag.
After Black Ops, the Summit map was re-imagined in Call of Duty: Black Ops II as Uplink, released in the Vengeance DLC. It was also part of the map roster in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Now it makes is fourth appearance in the series.
As for future releases, Treyarch and Activision have already announced that Nuketown will be coming as a multiplayer map in the first weeks after the game’s launch. The developing team will add more new and old maps in the future, creating the biggest roster in the Black Ops series in general.
