Activision has recently revealed a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies, featuring its IX and Voyage of Despair chapters. The trailer itself is full of information about its story, even though we can’t help but make all kinds of weird questions about it.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies trailer starts off with one of the protagonists of the mode, female character Scarlett Rhodes. Scarlett is searching for her father, some kind of treasure hunter or a thief, who is gone for 15 years. In her quest, three additional characters will help her, all in debt to her father, as the trailer reveals.
From there on, the trailer turns into an action movie, filled with gunfights and terrifying zombies. The interesting part of the trailer is when the previous revealed scepter that turns humans into zombies is being assembled, causing the characters to be teleported to another era, the setting of IX.
IX is set in a gladiatorial arena, where people are thrown to fight with turned humans and animals in forms of zombies. The last time we’ve seen that happening the characters were equipped with swords and shields, however this time they have a full cast of heavy modern machinery.
Taking a closer look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies trailer, you’ll be able to find a few new weapons and items, like the sword Scarlett yields at the start of the video. We expect more to be revealed soon, most especially since Treyarch will host an exclusive Zombies panel during ComicCon.
Unfortunately, Treyarch hasn’t announced a Zombies related beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. We don’t expect to see that happening either, since its stability is more or less ensured, as with any single player game. Make sure to try out the multiplayer mode of the game later this month.
