As you already know, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has just been released and features no classic single player campaign. However, we get a new Zombies mode complete with strong narrative. At launch, there are 3 Black Ops 4 Zombies maps available. Players with the Black Ops Pass get an additional one. Here’s what you need to know about Black Ops 4 Zombies maps.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Maps
IX
The first map of the Zombies mode is set in the ancient times. Our squad of heroes travel back in time and find themselves in a coliseum against zombies. There’s a whole story behind the encounter and how it happened in the first place.
In the coliseum, you’ll fight against Gladiators, Marauders and the Blight Father. Additionally, there will be more scaled fight resulting to the final stage. IX is a set in the main gladiator ring and you’ll find gates which open and enemies will come storming in. Pretty straightforward right?
Voyage of Despair
Next up we have Voyage of Despair. This map is set on a ship, the RMS Titanic to be specific. There’s a story behind that too. The layout is more chaotic than in IX and you’ll find yourself roaming from place to place slaying zombies.
To help you out, there are portals that can teleport you and make getting around a bit easier so feel free to use them. As with every Zombies map, there’s an easter egg to find in this one as well. If you’re into the story behind it all, make sure to look for it.
Blood of the Dead
Blood of the Dead is the third one of Black Ops 4 Zombies maps. It is a remake of the Mob of the Dead map from Black Ops 2 and is set in Alkatraz. It won’t be the same experience, there’s many more to unfold on your way.
Blood of the Dead has the same Black Ops feeling but with new mechanics, weapons and layout. Needless to say that this one must be the most hardcore map of the bunch. It comes with a story too so no needless zombie slaying in this game.
Classified – Black Ops Pass
Classified is currently locked behind a paywall. You can only access it if you own the Black Ops Pass. Undeniably, the pass needed an exclusive map for Zombies, so we can’t be that mad. In Classified, you’ll find the return of the Ultimas team, once again in the Pentagon map. Much like in Blood of the Dead though, there’s plenty for you to uncover in Classified as well.
This wraps up the preview of the Black Ops 4 Zombies maps. For us, the Voyage of Despair feels like the most unique and complete experience. We have a soft spot for it. We’ll get back to you for more insight on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
