As Call of Duty fans prepare for the second Modern Warfare Beta weekend, which will start tomorrow, Activision has finally announced the Call of Duty: Mobile release date. While Modern Warfare is the next major title for the series from Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Mobile has also been in development at Tencent Games. In fact, fans won’t have to wait long at all for the release of this title; the free-to-play game will be available from the 1st of October.
The Call of Duty: Mobile Release Date
While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is evidently endeavouring to take the franchise in a more serious direction, especially where its single-player story is concerned, Call of Duty: Mobile falls on the other end of the spectrum; closer to Black Ops 4. Available for free on iOS and Android mobile devices, the game is principally designed around Battle Royale. In an announcement post, Activision described it as; “a feature-rich game brimming with content, and for the first time brings together experiences from both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series of games!”
Call of Duty: Mobile players will have access to five loadouts with a wide variety of weapons, Soldier types, skills, equipment, and perks. The game also features playable Operators, each of whom has three Scorestreaks for players to complete. As players rank up, they can unlock classic characters to play as from past Call of Duty games. In addition to Battle Royale, the game will feature several multiplayer game modes. These include Domination, Frontline, Gun Game, Search & Destroy, and Team Deathmatch.

Of course, Battle Royale is very much the focus. The game’s Battle Royale mode will feature 100 players with Solo, Duo, and Quad-player modes. It includes a variety of vehicles and helicopters, six Classes, and interestingly, the ability to play in either first- or third-person. The free-to-play game will be available to download on the 1st of October.
