Season 2 of Call of Duty: Mobile is drawing to a close, but fans won’t have to wait at all for the launch of the next season. Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3 will be launching on the 15th of January, in just a couple of days’ time, with a new Battle Pass following a few days later. The third Season will be bringing a new map, two new modes, Ranked play, and more.
What’s Coming in Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3?
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3 will officially begin at 4:00 PM PST on the 15th of January. At launch, players can look forward to the addition of two new modes. However, the first new map of the season, along with the Season 3 Battle Pass, won’t be launching until the 19th; four days later. As such, the first thing that players will be able to try are Warfare and Rapid Fire, the two new modes coming to the game.
Details are still scarce regarding the upcoming Season 3 content. However, according to Activision, the new Warfare mode is somewhat similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Ground War mode. As such, it could provide players with a large-scale team mode that’s a bit smaller than its existing standard Battle Royale. The second mode, Rapid Fire, is a bit more mysterious. All that Activision has said is that it will be; “an intense, fast-paced Multiplayer mode.”
On the 19th, fans will be able to get the Season 3 Battle Pass, and will also be able to try out Scrapyard, a new map. Of course, this is just the launch content; there will be further content coming to the game throughout the season. Ranked mode is already available in Call of Duty: Mobile, and it will continue to be available in Season 3. Activision were unclear in their update whether ranked progress will be reset, although it would be a safe guess that it will be.
