Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 is due to launch tomorrow, bringing another installment of new content to both Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. While the latter will be getting a new subway system, both will see the inclusion of new Operators, new weapons, and more.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6
“After months of infighting between former allies,” explains Activision; “further fuelled by the arrival of Shadow Company, the recently dispatched Nikolai and Farah make a game-changing discovery in the hunt for Al-Qatala: they use empty subway tunnels to move around the city without a trace. With a flip of a switch, the long-defunct transportation network powers up, bringing what’s left of Armistice back on track towards ending this dangerous international syndicate’s stranglehold on Verdansk.”
The headline feature of Modern Warfare Season 6 is, indeed, the new subway system in Warzone’s Verdansk map. However, players can look forward to plenty of additional content coming tomorrow. Both Farah and Nikolai are coming to the game as playable Operators in the Season 6 Battle Pass, for example. Plus, two new weapons will be coming to Modern Warfare; the SP-R 208 and AS VAL, with the Butterfly Knife coming later in the season.
Season 6 also features four new maps which will be available in Modern Warfare. Firstly, Broadcast and Mialstor Tank Factory will be new standard multiplayer maps. Meanwhile, Station will be a new Gunfight map and Verdansk Riverside will be a new Ground War map. Finally, a new Warzone mode will also be launching tomorrow; Armoured Royale. However, that’s just the start of a series of new or returning modes coming in the next few weeks. Hard Point Hills & Kills is coming next week, for instance, followed by Gun Game TDM and HQ Firefight in week 3. Week 4 will feature the return of Gunfight Tournaments and Snipers-Only TDM.
