Following the discovery of a major game-breaking glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward has been forced to take the extreme step of removing all vehicles from the game. This is because the glitch is easily reproducible… and can end an entire match when triggered.
Call of Duty: Warzone Vehicles Temporarily Disabled
It’s unknown how long this particular glitch has been present in Call of Duty: Warzone, but it appears to have been discovered only recently. Ordinarily, when a player drives a vehicle out of bounds on the Verdansk map, they get a message and countdown to ‘return to the battlefield’. However, players have discovered a very specific location where the countdown will freeze. This leaves the player able to continue freely driving around the map. However, they will no longer be able to exit the vehicle or do anything else.
However, this is just the first part of the glitch. If it were just that, Infinity Ward may not have felt the need to remove all the Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles. No, unfortunately, a short time after this glitch is triggered, the game will suddenly end. Worst of all, it ends for all players currently in the match. Needless to say, this is a far bigger problem.
Infinity Ward became aware of the glitch late last night and issued a rapid playlist update in response. That update completely removed all Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles from the game. At present, there are no drivable vehicles anywhere in the game. The studio has yet to issue any further updates, so it’s currently unknown when they will return. However, given the scale of this problem, it’s likely that Infinity Ward has made fixing this glitch their top priority. As such, it’s unlikely to be long before a patch addressing the glitch is released.
