Capcom Teases Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Remake on Twitter

Hold onto your pants as Capcom is now teasing a Resident Evil 3 Remake. The developer took to social media this morning to post a simple picture from the recently released Resident Evil 2 Remake that seems innocuous at first glance. However, this simple post has fans going wild at the possibility of a Nemesis remake in the veins of this year’s Resident Evil 2.

The official Resident Evil games Twitter account posted an image this morning of Claire from Resident Evil 2 Remake looking at a huge hole in the wall. You can find the tweet in its entirety below. While this may seem like nothing at all, the caption along with the picture is hinting at something coming. Here is the full quote from the tweet if you are unable to see it:

Clearly something or someone doesn’t understand the concept of doors… What do YOU think happened to the wall here?”

This certainly leads us to believe that Capcom is hinting at something but what? While it certainly could be something like new DLC, we think that’s not the case. For starters, let’s go over what this teaser could mean. The huge hole in the wall certainly looks like something passed through it as Capcom notes in the tweet above.

Nemesis, the main monster that chases you down in Resident Evil: Nemesis, is certainly known for breaking through whatever it takes to get to you the player. It isn’t like Capcom to simply hint at Nemesis for no reason. This is likely to tease an upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake. This wouldn’t be surprising since Resident Evil 2 Remake was so well received and commercially successful.

Now, the Resident Evil 2 Remake was officially unveiled last year at E3 2018 before coming out in January this year. It stands to reason that Capcom would do the same this E3 2019 with an official announcement followed by a release sometime next year. However, that is a really quick turnaround following RE2 this year but it isn’t impossible if another team is working on it. Stay tuned for more info in the near future.
