Impact Props, a manufacturing company which creates intricately-detailed high-quality props for video game publishers such as Activision, Digital Extremes, and Sony’s PlayStation division, also has close ties with Destiny developer Bungie. These close ties are most evident in the various Destiny-themed props the company has made, the most recent of which is an eye-poppingingly gorgeous rendition of Cayde-6’s iconic Ace of Spades hand cannon.
Granted, the new Ace of Spades piece which Impact Props recently debuted actually isn’t the first time that the company made up a real-life rendition of the hand cannon. About a year ago, Impact Props created an Ace of Spades replica which Bungie then gifted to actor Nathan Fillion, the voice behind Cayde-6. This more recent creation, however, features a slightly updated design which is more in line with how the Ace of Spades looks in Destiny 2’s new Forsaken expansion.
Impact Props also has plenty of other Destiny-themed builds under its belt, and a perusal of this page on the company’s website shows it has created replicas for plenty of other iconic Destiny items including The Speaker’s mask, Sunshot, the Wardcliff Coil, Thorn, and the Rat King’s Crew to name a few. The fact that Impact Props also has a lot of Halo-themed props shows that the relationship between it and Bungie goes back many years, and that relationship clearly shows in the high-detail work that Impact Props puts out.
The Ace of Spades replica sadly isn’t for sale, though Impact Props does offer a Thorn replica that you can purchase. However, it should be noted that Impact Prop’s products don’t come cheap, as evidenced by the fact that the Thorn replica will cost you a little under $500.
If the look of the Ace of Spades hand cannon gels with your tastes, you can acquire it in Destiny 2 proper as well, though the specific steps you have to go through to get it might upset some of the other players around you.
