Following their appearance at Gamescom 2019, CD Projekt Red has announced their intention to livestream 15 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage next week. This video will be an edited-down version of the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo shown at Gamescom. Additionally, the studio will be using the stream to share interviews with developers and delve further into Night City.
The Upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Livestream
CD Projekt Red have now shown gameplay demonstrations at both E3 and Gamescom, but not yet released footage publicly. In fact, the studio had been planning to release public footage at PAX West next week. However, a developer panel planned for that event has now been cancelled. (An official cosplay contest at the event will still take place at the event.) Instead of revealing gameplay at PAX West, CD Projekt Red will instead livestream the footage next week from Warsaw. The stream will be hosted by the company’s UK Head of Communications, Hollie Bennett.
“There are many logistical (and some creative) reasons behind this decision,” explained CD Projekt Red; “but the most important thing we want to say is that we’re sorry for the change of plans. We know that many of you waited to meet us face to face in Seattle and it burns us out that we won’t be able to see each other there.”
The Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay livestream is scheduled to take place one week from today, on the 30th of August. It will start at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 8 PM CEST. Fans can tune in on either the CD Projekt Red Twitch or Mixer channels. According to the studio, fans can expect to hear more details about Night City and specifically its Pacifica district. The stream will reportedly also delve into different playstyles available in the game and creative decisions that influenced the studio’s design of the game.
