CD Projekt Red Releases Eight Witcher Soundtracks on Spotify
Earlier today, CD Projekt Red made the announcement that eight different Witcher soundtracks from the fantasy franchise are now available on Spotify. The announcement came via a Tweet from the studio’s official Twitter account. The newly available soundtracks range from major titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the music from GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

Eight Different Witcher Soundtracks Now Available on Spotify
The original soundtracks from eight different Witcher franchise games are available on Spotify as of today. This list includes the soundtracks for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its two DLC expansions; ‘Hearts of Stone’ and ‘Blood and Wine’. It also includes two soundtracks from GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, a live album performance of The Witcher 3 soundtrack, and a compilation album entitled; “Music Inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”. Finally, it also includes the soundtrack from Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. This final soundtrack may be the most recently released album among Spotify’s new Witcher additions.
At present, other soundtracks from the Witcher franchise aren’t available on Spotify; most notably the music for The Witcher, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. It’s possible that these could see a release on the platform at a later date. Much of the newly available music is, of course, the work of CD Projekt Red in-house composer, Marcin Przybyłowicz, who is also the composer for studio’s upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077. We were actually fortunate enough to interview Przybyłowicz back in late 2018 about his music and his work on Cyberpunk 2077.
Of course, many of the Witcher soundtracks have been available for a long time. (Years, in some cases.) However, CD Projekt’s decision to release the music on Spotify may signal a shift in release policy for the studio. Perhaps fans will get to see future music, like that for Cyberpunk 2077, release on the online streaming platform much sooner.
