As you might already know, Capcom has recently released the 30-minute One-shot demo for Resident Evil 2. The demo has become quite popular in the gaming community. However, some dedicated fans have actually noticed that Japan’s version of the game has some censorship in it. In fact, the American version is the goriest version of the game!
The hardcore stuff in the Resident Evil 2 Demo
Some dedicated fans at the Resident Evil community noticed a few differences between the Japanese and American versions of the demo. In addition, a few comparison videos surfaced that detailed the differences between the two. The following Twitter post shows one of the main differences:

Quite evidently, the Japanese version of the game has way less gore than the American version. In fact, the American version contains some explicit and gory scenes. You can definitely see detailed organs and blood pouring out of mutilated bodies. While the Japanese version also has its degree of bloody content. The amount of organs and detail has been quite lowered and is a bit tamer. Here are further comparisons with gameplay differences included:
Capcom has made no comment about this issue. As such, it’s not known whether or not this sort of censorship will be in the full version of the game. However, this sort of practice is quite common in the industry. In fact, Capcom has done something similar on Resident Evil 7. With the gory aspects of the game being drastically changed.
