All the Changes to Existing Legends in Apex Legends Season 3

While Apex Legends Season 3 is packed full of new content, including Crypto and the new World’s Edge map, it also includes an array of changes for the existing roster of Legends. These are likely to shake up the Legend Meta, especially with the simultaneous addition of Crypto to the roster. Alongside individual Legend changes, the Executioner Perk will now be universal for all Legends.

Until now, Executioner was a perk provided by Gold Armour which gave players a full shield recharge if they successfully completed a finisher. Now, all Legends have this perk as standard. Meanwhile, Gold Armour now has the Fast Use perk which used to be on the Gold Backpack. This means that consumable items can be used in half the normal amount of time. The Gold Backpack now has a new perk called Guardian Angel which allows you to revive teammates with bonus health and shields, provided they have armour.

First up for changes in the Legend roster is Bangalore, whose Rolling Thunder ability has had a damage boost; up from 20 all the way to 40. Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather and Beast of the Hunt abilities also both get changes in Season 3. The former’s animation time upon activation is now 33% faster, and it will now immediately tell you how many targets are marked. The latter, meanwhile, is also 30% faster to activate. Additionally, the movement speed boost has gone up from 25% to 30%.

Gibraltar also has some buffs in Season 3. His Dome Shield ability, for example, will now let players within use healing items 25% faster. Plus, the throw distance has been increased by 60%. However, the cooldown has also been increased by 50%; from 20 seconds to 30. His Defensive Bombardment ability has had its cooldown reduced, however, from 4.5 minutes to 3, and its throw distance has also gone up by 36%. However, its duration has been reduced by 25% to 6 seconds.

Pathfinder has had the cooldown of Zipline increased from 90 seconds to 120. Interestingly, the robot has also had the projectile velocity of Grapple reduced by 33%. According to Respawn, this means that it will take; “a fraction of a second longer to connect the grapple to the wall”. Wraith, meanwhile, has only one change to her Dimensional Rift; that it will no longer deploy if she is downed while putting it down. However, players should expect more Wraith changes soon. “We’ve pulled back additional nerfs for further testing,” says Respawn; “but Wraith’s power balance is definitely on our radar.”
