After a short delay from the usual schedule, Riot has now published their latest ‘State of the Agents‘ blog, updating fans on the studio’s future plans for Valorant Agents. In addition to teasing the game’s next new Agent, the blog offers some details about reworks which will be coming in a future update for two Valorant Agents; namely, KAY/0 and Yoru.
Riot’s Future Plans for KAY/0 and Yoru in Valorant
Following the recent Agent updates in Patch 3.06, which made significant adjustments to Jett, Riot is now planning to focus on Yoru and possibly also KAY/0. The latter Agent was one of several to receive changes in Patch 3.06; the telegraphing of the robot’s FLASH/drive ability, for example, should now be much shorter. Additionally, their NULL/cmd ability will no longer stop pulsing if KAY/0 goes down. According to Riot, these changes should; “help reward those of you that put in additional effort to throw clever pop flashes.”

However, Riot may not be done tweaking KAY/0 quite yet. While the latest changes aim to improve the robotic Agent’s viability and help them to compete against Skye, the studio admits that it may not be enough. “If these tweaks are not enough,” they write; “we’ll move the needle around until they are in a good spot. Promise.”
Meanwhile, a much more significant redesign is currently in the works for Yoru in Valorant. “We know what we want to do on the design front with Yoru,” explains Riot; “and we’re in the middle of gathering additional resources needed to support these changes”. The studio offered their apologies to fans of Yoru, promising that an update would be coming soon, and that Riot hadn’t forgotten about him. As such, players should expect to see a substantial update for Yoru coming in a near-future patch, perhaps with the launch of the next Episode.
