We know for a fact that the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will result in changes in Call of Duty: Warzone. Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Activision have all said as much. But what we don’t know yet are the details. Nevertheless, one prominent insider has made some claims regarding Cod: Warzone weapon changes. Let’s take a look at what he had to say.
How Do We Know COD: Warzone Weapon Changes Are Coming?
Industry insider Tom Henderson tweeted about the possibility of upcoming weapon changes in Call of Duty: Warzone.
His first tweet says, “Raven Software will work closely with both Infinity Ward and Treyarch for the #BlackOpsCpldWar integration. Essentially, BOCW weapons will be completely rebalanced to match Modern Warfare’s current weapons in Warzone. BOCW weapons will not have a longer TTK than Modern Warfare’s.”
He continues, “This means that by the end of the BOCW life cycle, there will be over 100 different individual weapons in Warzone and the next title to release in 2021 will also be integrated into Warzone, exactly the same as BOCW.”
So, we should not expect that the Warzone weapons that exist now will be rebalanced in response to the introduction of weapons from Black Ops Cold War. But we should expect the opposite to happen. It is the Black Ops Cold War weapons that will get the adjustments.
If Henderson is correct about all of his assertions, there will be a huge amount of weapons to choose from in Warzone soon. Now, this is an entirely viable source, so we can take these rumors seriously. But just remember that they are rumors, and are not official.
