As you might expect from a battle royale game, there’s a lot to do in Battlefield 5 Firestorm. However, while your ultimate objective is to eliminate enemy players and survive to the end, Firestorm also provides players with a variety of side objectives; ways to get higher-tier weapons, vehicles, and equipment. These Battlefield 5 Firestorm objectives are risky, but well worth it if you can get the rewards they offer.
Battlefield 5 Firestorm Objectives: Strongboxes, Safes, and Supply Drops
The simplest form of the different Battlefield 5 Firestorm objectives are the many Strongboxes and Safes scattered around Halvøy. Strongboxes are the most common. While they do spawn on fixed locations, whether they spawn or not is random, so you can’t simply memorise their locations. A single Strongbox will contain up to three items from the Common, Rare, or Epic tiers. Of course, as the name suggests, you’re much more likely to get Common items. These are among the safest and most easily accessible objectives in Firestorm.
Safes, on the other hand, are a bit riskier to go after. Like Strongboxes, they spawn at random on fixed points, and these are always inside the map’s landmark sites. They tend to contain better loot than Strongboxes, but it takes a while to open them, leaving you vulnerable to ambush. Be sure to have somebody as a lookout while you crack one open!
Finally, there are Supply Drops. These containers spawn at random during the course of a Firestorm match and fall to earth with parachutes. Once they land, a green flare signals the location to nearby players. While they typically contain higher-tier loot than other objectives, it’s likely that other players will see them too; be wary when approaching a drop for other players lying in wait.
Battlefield 5 Firestorm Objectives: Vehicle Lockups
These large objective sites are scattered across the map. Opening them is a slow and laborious task, but well worth the effort if you have time, as they contain the best loot in the game. Vehicle lockups can be found within certain landmarks. To open them, you’ll need to have two players use the mechanisms on each side of the bunker doors. If you’re playing solo, you’ll have to open the mechanisms one at a time, which is much slower.
To make matters worse, an alarm will go off once you start opening a lockup. It shuts off if you let go of the mechanisms, but will otherwise give any nearby players ample warning as to what you are doing. Once the doors are open, loot the bunker for Epic tier weapons and, best of all, one of the game’s most powerful vehicles!
Battlefield 5 Firestorm Objectives: Re-supply Points
Re-supply points are the most involved objectives in Firestorm, and offer much better rewards than the Safes, Strongboxes, and Supply Drops. As the game progresses, they will activate randomly within the playable area at more than 20 possible locations. You’ll know if a point activates, because a khaki-coloured balloon will rise over the site. Moreover, all players will get a map notification and a compass ping.
Re-supply points work similarly to flag objectives in the standard Conquest mode. You need to get inside the area and capture it in order to claim the Rare and Epic tier loot it contains. Note that Re-supply Points are the best places to find Reinforcements. You can capture a point faster if you have more squadmates in the area, but even one enemy soldier in the area will contest it. Unfortunately, these points are easily visible to other players. Moreover, nearby players will see the capture status of a point on their UI.
If a Re-supply point is engulfed by the Firestorm, you can actually still capture it, although it’s not recommended to try. The active points will reset once the playable area shrinks to the next boundary.
