Weta Workshop, the company which is currently working on the first official line of Apex Legends collectibles, has released a brand-new look at concept art and 3D renders of the upcoming range. The company recently released a look at their Pathfinder collectible. However, this artwork has a very different style, suggesting that there could be more than one range in the works.
Apex Legends Collectibles: Weta Workshop’s Latest Concept Art
Two months ago, Weta Workshop announced that they were working on the first official range of Apex Legends collectibles for Respawn and EA. Thus far, the company hasn’t shown much of what these collectibles will look like; after all, they’re still in the process of designing them. However, Weta Workshop did release a first look at their concepts and design for a Pathfinder collectible two weeks ago. Now, they have released a second set of concepts.
This new set of concepts feature sketch designs for Pathfinder, Lifeline, and Wraith, as well as 3D renders of the latter two. The most interesting thing about this new concept art is that it has a very different style to the last set. The first look at the upcoming Pathfinder collectible had a very cartoonish style to it. However, this latest artwork and renders are far more realistic; more direct representations of how the characters are in the game.
As a result, it’s possible that Weta Workshop may be working on more than one range of Apex Legends collectibles. Perhaps they will be releasing one set of more cartoonish, simplified collectibles, and a second set of much more detailed character figurines? For now, fans will have to wait for more information from the company. Their latest update doesn’t include much beyond the new art, but it does say; “More details dropping soon. Until then, continue fighting the good fight.”
