Now that the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta weekend is over, fans can look forward to the second weekend beginning on the 19th of September. The second Beta will bring the game to the PC and Xbox One for the first time. Plus, it will feature crossplay, allowing all three platforms to play together. Ahead of that release, Infinity Ward has now confirmed the Modern Warfare Beta start times, so you know exactly when you’ll be able to play.
The Second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta Start Times
The second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta weekend has two phases on PC and Xbox One, just like the first weekend on PS4; an Early Access period, and an Open Beta period. (The PS4 had its Early Access period in the first weekend, so will be completely Open Beta.) The first phase (Early Access for PC/Xbox One, Open Beta for PS4) is due to begin on the 19th of September at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM BST / 3:00 AM AET (September 20th). This first phase lasts through the 19th and the 20th, giving fans who have preordered a chance to play ahead of everybody else.
The second phase, which transitions the Beta to an Open Beta for PC and Xbox One, will occur on the evening of the 20th. This will happen at 6:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM ET / 2:00 AM BST (September 21st) / 11:00 AM AET (September 21st). The second Beta weekend will feature a few changes and fixes following player feedback from the first Beta, as detailed by Infinity Ward in a recent Reddit post.
After the second Beta weekend concludes on the 23rd of September, Call of Duty fans can look forward to an upcoming Campaign Premiere event. Details are sparse at present as to what this event will be. However, it will be taking place sometime in the week between the 23rd and the end of September. After that, a Special Ops premiere is due to take place in the week starting October 7th.
